Taking a cue from our friends Jim and Amber Kolmus who do this annually, we decided to make a printed and bound hardcover book of our blog posts so far. We used an amazing company called Blurb who does an absolutely fantastic job -- and at a reasonable price! It's as easy as you want it to be -- they use a process called "slurping" (actual technical term!) to pull the pictures and text off of your blog, and then you can decide how much time you want to put into editing and designing (which was a lot for me, with our 126 pages!). We just got our book in the mail this weekend, and can't stop looking at it -- it turned out GREAT!
We'd like to continue to do this every year, as a way to chronicle the high and low points of our family that we blog about...without me having to actually scrapbook!

If you come to visit us anytime soon, you'll probably see this book out on our coffee table!

It looks great! I like the black pages. Maybe we'll try that this year!
Thanks for the inspiration, Jim!!
