Departing from Hotel McGarvey, we trucked along through a tiny sliver of West Virginia, using a picture of Julia to allow her to continue on the journey with us before she follows a few days later.
Shortly thereafter, we entered the final home(state)stretch. (No, that grimace on my face does not reflect my disinterest in entering my beloved PA. It's an indication that Caleb apparently gained 15 pounds on this trip, and I was staring directly into the glaring sun.)
We saw some spectacular sunsets all across the nation over the past few weeks, but this PA one was a lovely way to come back home.
What a lovely sound to hear the GPS say, "You've arrived at home."
A very different odometer reading than when we left.
Oh, Poppy, you lovely, impressive, resilient beast of a minivan. We made it!!
Let the seventeen loads of laundry commence. What a trip. What an unforgettable trip!! Final reflection comments will follow over the next few days...
