My sister Carrie and her clan headed North for their roadtrip summer vacation, and we got to have them for most of a week! What a sweet visit it was.
Caleb and Eliza enjoyed getting acquainted with their dog Bean...
"Woof, those constantly-moving baby toes are SO fun to lick!" --Bean
Yes, that is Eliza...reading to a DOG.
There was good snuggling done by uncles and aunts...
And I loved capturing Julia reading to Carrie...reminding me of an earlier memory of her reading to me!
Our time together was mostly laidback, just letting kids and adults play and visit together. We had some water fun one day -- the Florida kiddos were pretty chilled by the temperature of PA groundwater! :)
But the most fun was had on the evening of our UnBirthday Party! Henry had gotten it in his head last year that he wanted to have his birthday party at our new house. He talked to Carrie about it a lot! So we thought we should do something similar during their visit. We invited some other local family members, and had a blast!
There was the cake...
The moustache straw fun...
The present exchange game...
(Lorenzo made out with an awesome head massager...)
And the HIGHLY competitive relay race! :)
The kids had so much fun with the fly swatters and balloons that the craziness continued well after a team had officially won!
(The blurriness gives some sense of the constant motion of these little ones!)
To finish off the night, there was some glow stick fun while catching lightening bugs together.
Smashing success of an UnBirthday Party!
The most heartwarming part was just seeing the kids truly enjoy each other.
(Foreshadowing of an upcoming Lion Shrine photo shoot post...)
We love you, Team Mills! Come again soon!!!
