Happy Easter!

.
We had a wonderful Easter holiday -- full of good time with family and friends, good food, and most of all an amazingly good God.

It was an intense week as always, as both Chad and I helped in a number of ways with our interactive Good Friday event called "The Way of the Cross," as well as music and worship leadership for this morning's Easter gatherings. However, as I often say at this time of year, I ended the weekend with my feet tired but my heart full.

We snagged a family picture this morning after church...

...had a fun little egg hunt with Julia this afternoon...

...and ate a yummy meal with my dad this evening...

...and then finished things off by watching the end of the Masters together (you should hear Julia yell with glee, "In the hole!" each time somebody swings...wonder who taught her THAT...).

One of our favorite things as Julia grows is seeing her begin to grasp pieces of faith.  In addition to requesting to pray each night before bed, now she also says to us, "Sing a worship song!"  It melts our hearts to hear her sing along to so many...

And today, she jumped on-board with learning the traditional Easter greeting -- though it may not be QUITE as meaningful to her yet as we hope and pray it will become... :)

We know a number of family and friends check in on this blog from time to time.  To each of you, we say with the deepest conviction -- "Christ is risen!  He is risen INDEED!"  If that is something that you've been wondering about lately, or you just want to ask some questions, both Chad and I are always open to a conversation about it.  We truly believe that Jesus was more than just a man to admire...and that His resurrection changes everything in our world and in our lives.  It is the source of our hope, strength, peace, and joy -- and we believe it can be yours, as well!

HAPPY EASTER!!!
