Aslan is BACK!

.
Well, the trip to Narnia and back again went very well on the first weekend of December! We (finally) got Andy here (after several flight cancellations and a late-night drive to Harrisburg to retrieve him), worked through rehearsals and mask repair over the next few days, and did two shows over the weekend. A bunch of Chad's family and friends came from Lancaster on Sunday, and two of my theatre professors (and my dad) joined us on Monday.

We have a few leads for future bookings, so we'll see if anything comes about for Spring 2011. Our promotional website is found HERE. Feel free to pass it along to anybody you know who might be interested in booking the show!

Chad had fun putting together a "merch table" for anybody interested in digging further into Narnia or C.S. Lewis -- it was quite an impressive spread!

And Julia survived the chaos of the week BEAUTIFULLY, having much quality time with Daddy (thanks, Chad!)...although it did launch her into a 'slightly-more-clingy-Mommy-phase' immediately afterward...

Andy and I (although fully enjoying the entire experience) frequently commented on how much different it felt to be doing the show with us both now over 30. And by "different", we mean painful and downright difficult at times! It's a little harder to bounce up and down off the floor nowadays... ;) We had quite a few aches, pains, and black-and-blue marks by the end of the weekend!

But we had a great time, and were so grateful for the chance to share the amazing story once again. As Lucy says, "I want to go back..." Maybe we will have the opportunity again soon!
