Kim and I had the opportunity to be Lauren's first non-family visitors in the hospital today as we met little Evelyn Grace for the first time out-of-womb. Evie was just beautiful, with a shock of hair, long piano-player fingers, and toes that are so long they can curl under. She definitely has some of Eli's physical traits! (apparently, one of the nurses kept tsking over how skinny she was...to which Eli just indicated his own frame)
Here are the official stats:
- Born: 6/10/09 at 4:53pm
- By-the-numbers: She was 7 lbs, and 21 inches long!
They are doing fine after quite a long delivery. Lauren had her typical quirkiness about her, which was good to see. They should be heading home tomorrow morning and then...the fun begins!
I'm looking forward to our first hike, whenever we get around to it. This baby is going to be quite exposed to God's creation as a member of this family!!!!

What a blessing little Evie is already! She is going to love all of the "friends of the family" when she is more aware of things and people!
